The fourth single from young five piece Brighton band The Maccabees sees them servicing up a two minute tale of indie kid first date awkwardness. Lyrically this song is a sharp observation and with equal measures of bluster and remorse can’t fail but to remind you of your own first date blunders which obviously mean that instantly you relate to the song. As this is the fourth single I am sure that an album cannot be far behind and if they maintain this level of quality then The Maccabees will be one to watch for the future.
