Big Strides - Always Together (single)

CD Review: " Always Together " by Big Strides
Reviewer: Charlotte King

Big Strides – Always Together
Label – Tall Order
Release – 26 th February 2007

It may have been one small step for man but it is one giant leap for the ‘Big Strides’. This second single taken from the album ‘Cry It All Out’ sees the London based three piece bring us this big slack guitar ballad of a London relationship that they seem to love and hate in equal measure and as if to prove this the song end in an huge angry crescendo of noise. The singer has a very distinctive half singing half talking style which complements the bluesy guitar and big bass sound. It is rare in these indie times that we are currently living in to find anyone prepared to stand outside the box and make something different, but Big Strides have done just that.
