Beats
you HAVE to bang your
head to;
Power chords a-plenty;
A singer who sounds like
both Mick Jagger AND
Johnny Rotten. . . .
What more could anyone
want?
Not much, if the Towers
of London’s single I’M A
RAT is anything to go
by.
When I first heard it,
the song’s main riff
reminded me of the theme
from Have I Got News For
You; I liked the song
itself, but images of
Angus Deaton and Ian
Hislop in my mind’s eye
were disturbing – and
not very rock and roll!
Rest assured, everything
changed when I turned it
up to eleven:
At high volume and with
plenty of bass, I’m A
Rat is rock and roll
ANTHEM.
Within seconds of
pressing ‘play’ I was
banging my head like a
simpleton.
Twenty minutes later, I
was still playing air
guitar, grimacing like
someone possessed - and
well on my way to
putting my back out.
Great stuff!
The Towers of London
have come up trumps: I’M
A RAT is an authentic
rock and roll stomper
that grows on you each
time you hear it.
But don’t just take my
word for it:

better still, at your
