Introducing my new favourite band = Reverend and the makers! This five piece from Sheffield new release sees our heroes lamenting about the disappointment of modern lift of being stuck in a rut and dreaming of a life that has somehow passed them by indeed they could have been heavyweight champions of the world! They describe themselves as mixing indie, funk and electro but this just doesn’t cover it I would add to this satirists and poets in fact track 3 on this single is a poem featuring John Cooper Clarke the Poet Laureate of Manchester. With witty insightful lyrics and a very funky guitar this track is guaranteed to see them breaking through in 2007.
