Well there is no
doubting that this
former army captain’s
catchy vocals, poetic
lyrics and tuneful
melodies have made him
the new darling of the
music scene. He’s fresh
from winning the Best
Pop Act and British Male
Solo Artist categories
at the Brit Awards and
here he is releasing yet
another smash single,
Wiseman. And in case you
were wondering, this has
nothing to do with the
fact that I like a man
in uniform—not that he
doesn’t look
ridiculously good in
khaki but I digress.
Blunt’s winning
combination is simple;
good looks, good music,
good voice. Sporting
more of a rock edge than
his last two singles,
Wiseman is yet another
favourite in the endless
list of top ten songs
from this disc. While
not overtly rock, Blunt
seems to have the
uncanny ability to make
the middle ground
unbelievably attractive.
If you liked Beautiful,
then go up-tempo, insert
funky beat and enjoy.
