Oh dear, at first
glance, this is a boy
band with guitars.
Catchy, two syllable
name (think Busted,
McFly), painstakingly
crafted hair, high
street fashion with just
a hint of rebellion, a
tall one, a blonde one
and the leather jacket
wearing one.
But here’s the
difference. Murdoch are
good. Yep, I couldn’t
believe it either.
Thanks goodness for
journalistic obligation,
because if I was just a
man in the street
looking for something to
buy, this would have
been put straight back
on the shelf at first
glance of the five guys
who look like Topman
models strewn across the
cover.
Not that fashion is our
forte here at M4M, but
we know a band being
dressed by someone else
when we see one.
It’s all a little bit
too polished and a
little lifeless if truth
be told, but there’s
songs in there
struggling to break
through. A little more
honing and a ritual
burning of Topman store
cards is all that’s
needed to push Murdoch
to the next level.
