This four piece seem to have gathered themselves together from the four corners of America and althought this release is their debut they have already had a varied and interesting musical past. Including deejaying around America, being in a variety of punk and post-hardcore bands and writing the musical score for the Playstation game Grand Theft Auto III. With the current buzz around Enter Shakiri's 'Rave Metal' and The Klaxons 'Rave Indie' it is not a huge leap of imagination to think that the next logical step would be 'Rave EMO'. If this is the case then Shiny Toy Guns may find themselves in the right place a the right time. The interesting combination of the male / female lead vocalists in Chad Petree and Carah Faye offers them a fresh edge to many of the other bands and the sound of the album shifts between Gary Numan and New Young Pony Club with added PMT. The first single is 'You are the One released on 02nd April 2007 and is well worth a listen I personally would recommend "Le Disko' which is a slice of disorientated electronica.
