The third album from Brazilian crossover star Bebel Gilberto sees her present ‘Momento’ which is an album about living in the moment. Bebel who is from the Braizilian musical monarchy has always set out try and fine her own musical identity. Again on this album she has tried to mix low key electronica and an acoustic feel with her subtle yet magical voice. The album mixes effortlessly between English and Portuguese lyrics so much so that after a few songs you find yourself singing along even if you don’t speak Portuguese!
My favourite tracks on the album include the title track ‘Momento’ which would be best enjoyed sat in the sun with a cocktail in hand. And ‘Bring Back the Love’ featuring the Brazilian Girls which is one to watch the sun setting in Ibiza to.
