I can remember vividly the day that music came
to life for me. I was seven years old and my Mum took me to Rock Circus. One
waxwork in particular caught my eye, that of Buddy Holly. Though not
particularly impressive figure, I was completely mesmerised and begged my Mum
to buy me a tape of his songs which I played on repeat from that day onwards
until both the tape and my family's nerves were shredded and worn out
completely. From that day on music became my life. Throughout the 90's I fell
in love with Boyzone and earnestly collected Spice Girls trading cards and in
the early 2000's when I was following my 'grunger' phase I enjoyed the pop
punk strains of Sum 41 and Avril Lavigne. Times have moved on and I now
consider my tastes to be both eclectic and erratic encompassing everything
from Johnny Cash to Snoop Dogg to Help! She Cant Swim via Frank Sinatra,
Abba and R.E.M with everything in between. I cant wait to start pushing my
appreciation of music to new levels.
Love and sweet sounds Lucy x
